LIR Workshop Series
The LIR HEAnet User Group for Libraries is delighted to announce the launch of our new Workshop Series. The purpose of these workshops is to help us adapt management and delivery of our services in rapidly changing environments in a professionally informed and practical manner. The workshops will:
- Focus on key developments in library technologies, communications, information resources and service delivery;
- Assess value-for-money and best practice;
- Provide expert analysis of current issues;
- Incorporate the experience of participants; and
- Deliver practical outcomes for library operations.
Details of each workshop, including dates, venues and topics, will be announced on the LIR email list, and on the LIR website.
These half-day workshops are are aimed at staff at all levels and in all departments. They are free to LIR members.
The next LIR Workshop will be on Recessionista Research: the What, the Why and the How; taking place in Dublin on July 1st

LIR will host a workshop on the topic of Shibboleth access for library resources over the coming
weeks as follows;

- Tuesday 1st June Cork Institute of Technology from 10.45am-1.30pm
- Wednesday 9th June at HEAnet, IFSC, Dublin 1 from 10.30am - 1pm
