We are looking to do more of these, on various subjects in Library Carpentry. So there will likely be an event in Dublin at some point. We’re really playing it by ear at the moment. We don’t know how much interest there will be but we expect to hold another one soon, maybe in the rest of the country, maybe in Dublin. The next one in the series will cover Open Refine and SQL. We might also run repeats if there is enough interest. [...]

This is for library and information services staff who want to improve their data wrangling skills. EDS users & ProQuest usage

Apologies if this is not the best place to put this, an EDS users group would be a better forum, but I might get some good feedback here.

Have any of the new EBSCO discovery service users noticed a sharp drop-off in their ProQuest usage statistics since adopting EDS?

We expected some drop-off combined with a rise in EBSCO use, but perhaps not to the extent it is. Even doing a crude title cross-referencing exercise, there are enough unique and widely used titles in ProQuest for its usage to be higher than it is, at least based on previous [...]
